About me

Hello everyone. I am Cindy, the 25-year-old founder of Crocket Crochet. I am currently studying MBA in California, USA. I like the idea of thinking of "Crocket Crochet" as a brand or business since one of my dreams is about becoming an entrepreneur.

Background

I am originally from Asain Country, Thailand.  I have been in Thailand for most of my life (24 years). Then, when I was 24, I got scholarships to pursue a Master's degree in USA. Thus, I mostly speak Thai until last year I started to speak English more.

Personalities and Hobbies

Since I was born and raised in Asain Country, my personality, attitude, value, and norm are likely similar to other Asain's.  Every hobby I related to is basically random; crocheting, playing video games, ballroom dancing, making Youtube Video are pretty random and unrelated. Moreover, I studied Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a Thai University. My study has nothing to do with crocheting or other artistic hobbies I have. However, all personalities joined together, giving me inspiration and abilities to generate and run a crochet brand as "Crocket Crochet".

Crochet Inspiration

I designed Star wand and flower crown for this fairy costume
I was taught how to crochet by my mother when I was 10. At that time, I could only make chain and basic single crochet codes. When I was 17, I saw one of my classmates from high school made crochet dolls for sale. I really love doll myself, so I was really interested and started to study on my own, using the lesson from other people's blogs on the internet. My first 50 dolls are pretty ugly, but the process of trial and error can refine my mistake and make me become a good crocheter today. Therefore, I will tell you guys "Do Not Give Up". After I have been practicing crochet for 3 years, I started to design my own patterns to use on specific occasions such as making accessories for my fairy costume for the party.
Then, I wrote the pattern to give away for free.

Crocket Crochet Background

The logo is Yellow Bear Doll
I had the idea of starting the crochet shop when I was 20. At first, I used Facebook Page and one of my friends suggested the name "Crocket Crochet". The name has no meaning at all, but I guess it sounds good right? I used the yellow bear dolls as the logo since it is the first beautiful doll I have ever made. The first purpose of Crocket Crochet is to sell my crochet work but it failed since I cannot get to the customer groups. Then, I used the Free Pattern strategy to attract people to like my page and I change by the objective to target the crocheters instead of targeting customers who wanna buy crochet products. I sold my own patterns and the result is pretty profitable. Then, due to my final exam and other course works to graduate Bachelor's degree, I don't have much time to create the new free pattern and maintain my followers.
After I stop creating the contents for a year, I started to create the new contents again and create videos on youtube for basic tutorials for Thai People. I can attract my followers back and the result of my videos is pretty successful. However, I have to stop it again and spend more time to prepare my application for the Master's Degree. Now, I am trying to restart it again, using this website to connect everything I have done so far.
I know my weakness is the inconsistency of doing something for a long time; I lose focus easily. However, I will try to fix that problem from now on. I will try to run Crocket Crochet consistently and create new contents at least once a month. I will learn how to manage my time in life to do several things at once.

Crocket Crochet Main Contents

The main contents for Crocket Crochet would be free Amigurumi patterns since I specialize in making crochet dolls than other kinds of crochet works.
Also, I would make some tutorials to teach how to translate the patterns from other languages, how to decorate dolls using multiple techniques and other equipment reviews.
I will make the contents in Thai specifically for Thai peoples that are not very comfortable reading English.
Last but not least, I made some paid patterns as well. If you guys want to support me to create new contents, you don't have to donate money or yarns to me. Please purchase my patterns on Ravelry or Esty in order to support me for any yarn costs. My pattern is cheap and offers high value, I promise.
Thank you so much for reading my story
Also, Please follow my work through my Facebook Page, Instagram and Subscribe to my Youtube Channel. I will update the new contents there too.

If you want to contact me directly, please message on my Facebook Personal Account

"The most important thing, Please Do Not Copy My Pattern and Post elsewhere. I would be very appreciated if you give me the credit by using Pinterest to pin the photos in this blog or sharing the link of my blog to your social media sites."
